A DREAM of PERFECT MOTION

I have led a rich & satisfying life,
do not let my cries & whispers
dissuade you of that.
Certainly, dukkha hunts me,
hour upon hour, like the
indefatigable deer hunter
Ever intent on its inevitable trophy.
Yet, that is as it is, here on the
flip half of samsara.
I do not understand nirvana. Yet
I’ve no cause to complain of my lot.
It is the straw I’ve chosen.
When I am not so terribly
unhappy with it, this this, given all
the unhappy possibilities …
is,
after all,
a fortunate re-birth.
